Through the years I have come to realize that my purpose in my career is to be supportive in a calm and realistic approach.
By age 10, I knew I was going to be a nurse. I am the oldest of six children in my family. My mother didn’t handle our injuries well. We had a neighbor who was a nurse. She helped us many times. She took stitches out of my head, and was always a consultant to my mom for severity of our injuries, and how to treat us. Viewing this as a much-desired presence and calm in our lives. I became a nurse.
Fast forward..I am a Charge Nurse for over 25 years. Currently working in an Acute Care Hospital in California in a Cardiovascular Unit. Worked the graveyard shift and felt sleep deprived for years. Raised three beautiful children and remain married to my soul mate. These challenges of life have made me aware that there wasn’t a supportive person or book that could assist me. Computers were just beginning to be a part of everyday life. My family and work balance many times shifted inappropriately and I didn’t know who I was except..Take care of everyone’s needs and hopes. Sound Familiar?
As the years have past I continue to recognize that life challenges can be overwhelming, joyful and at the same time stressful.
In 2013, I decided to do something about it! Starting the journey of who I will be next. Solution Focused Coaching is my answer. As a graduate from Erickson Coaching Institute. Certification from Results Life Coaching, and Certified in Stress Management. A Credentialed member of the International Coaching Federation. I continue to work full time as a nurse.
My purpose is to support you finding insights and awareness of your strengths and goals in your life. Especially nurses trying to do it all. Not knowing what is next. How to balance so many everyday challenges, in a world where women are juggling being a wife, mother, daughter, and friend. And finding time for yourself. Let’s work together to minimize stress and empower yourself. Pursue your passion and enjoy nursing.
